Looking stylish is as much about knowing what not to wear as it is about knowing what suits you. It’s about being honest and coming to terms with the fact that some parts of your body aren’t great and understanding that certain clothing only serve to exacerbate these problem areas.
So many women trundle through life not making the most of themselves because they’re lacking in self-confidence, convinced that clothes don’t matter or have no idea where to begin. But the more they know about their body, the easier it is to look great.
Unfortunately for a lot of ladies, there are many hurdles to jump before they reach that stage and they incorrectly believe the notion that becoming stylish is a feat way beyond their grasp. They roll in their inexperience in comforting excuses—there’s the children, the overdraft, no time, nor inclination. Clothes are immaterial because they can rely on their fabulous personalities and their spouses are blind to them looking like tramps, because they, the women, are loved just the way they are.
But this is living in denial. I believe there isn’t a single lady who doesn’t want to improve the way she looks. Even if she assumes she has the style of a goddess, she would probably like to trade in her breasts for a pair that defy gravity.
She believes that diet, money, and even surgery are the answers but she’s too greedy to do the first; will probably never make the second; and therefore can’t pay for the third.
But looking stylish isn’t about following fashion, losing weight, being rich or succumbing to the knife. It’s about dressing to show off what you love and hiding what you loathe about your body. Once you understand what not to wear, the path to chicdom becomes a piece of cake.
I know that any woman who reads this article would feel I’m bullying her into submission. This is your secret weapon, and remember, it’s not so much about the tips you would be given when you have your body-type analysis done, but more about the mistakes you have to stop making. As long as you stick to the rules, you can forget what’s in fashion. If, however, you have a passion for what’s in fashion then simply adapt hot trends to your individual shape.
